Whimsy:  An odd notion, often sudden - unpredictable, erratic, variable, a flight of fancy.  Wacky and off-beat.  Whimsy is to be shared, like a good joke.  Smiles and chuckles are contagious and release endorphins, good for mood and health.

 

The photographer in me likes to be surprised by the unexpected.  I realized I had a group of images that are playful and lighthearted, that engage my imagination, that are sometimes head-scratchers.  I need a dose of whimsy now and then.  Whimsy brings a smile to my face.  And I have to share it.
