High Key

High key scenes have a bright and airy feel that lifts up my mood and makes me smile even if I’m freezing in the winter cold or boiling in the desert sun.  My high key scenes tend to have lots of white or near-white space with an undefined sky or background.   Shadows exist to serve the light.  Such scenes can be energetic and cheerful; here is where I like to unleash color.  High key provides a nice balance to my other preferences of drama and moodiness.
